Sustainable Lending and Borrowing: call to take part in new TEG ACE research

Arts Council England (ACE) has commissioned Touring Exhibitions Group (TEG) to look into ways that shared initiatives could reduce the carbon impacts of lending and borrowing objects to exhibitions.

Lending, internationally and domestically, for exhibitions is one of the biggest contributors to greenhouse gas emissions in museums and galleries and TEG would very much like to understand how much change is possible and what the challenges might be.

As part of this research, TEG are launching a new survey today and your engagement with this survey will help us gather a picture of the sector’s attitudes, needs and potential for change.

The survey includes 14 questions about your organisation’s practice on lending and borrowing; loan agreements, environmental conditions and couriering.

Please click here to take the survey.

The deadline is now extended to Monday 25 March.

The research will be used to make recommendations to Arts Council England, DCMS (Dept for Culture Media and Sport, UK government) and the sector.

Thank you in advance for your support and taking part in this important research.
