The Ray & Diana Harryhausen Foundation is a charitable Trust set up by Ray in 1986 (No. SC001419). Our primary aim is to protect Ray’s work and legacy. The Foundation protects and preserves his collection of models and artworks for future generations to enjoy and learn from. At an estimated 50,000 items, our archive contains stop-motion models from all of his most iconic films, including ‘Jason and the Argonauts’, ‘Clash of the Titans’ and ‘One Million Years BC’. The archive also holds artwork, moulds, model making equipment, audiovisual material and much more besides.
The Foundation will announce exhibition plans in the UK and USA for 2026-2028. As part of our upcoming programme of events and displays, we are delighted to announce our return to the Forbidden Worlds Film Festival in Bristol on April 25th and 26th.  Trustee and Ray’s daughter Vanessa Harryhausen and Collections Manager Connor Heaney will introduce a 45th anniversary screening of ‘Clash of the Titans’, preceded by a special panel that will celebrate the influence of classic mythology upon Ray’s work. The festival appearance will also see the exclusive announcement of upcoming exhibition plans.
