As we come to the end of a landmark year celebrating 40 years of The Exhibitions Group, we’re proud of the scale and range of what we’ve achieved together in 2025.
At the start of the year, we marked our anniversary with an online celebration – a thought-leader webinar featuring a standout panel of guests, and one of our best-attended online events to date.
Throughout the year we connected exhibition professionals through a sell-out Exhibitions Connect at the V&A, a wide programme of online training and workshops delivered with partners including Museum Development and the British Academy, and by sharing knowledge and resources at conferences and sector events across the UK.
We launched a new website featuring our new brand and new membership categories, published important research on the carbon impacts of international lending and borrowing, and began a major study into key changes and trends in temporary and touring exhibitions.
Looking ahead to 2026, with Exhibitions Connect in Sheffield, further learning opportunities and the imminent publication of our latest research findings and recommendations, we remain committed to supporting everyone involved in exhibition making to connect and create relevant, sustainable, diverse and accessible exhibitions.
