We are seeking 3 new people to join our Advisory Group. This presents an opportunity to be involved in and contribute to the organisation’s activities and governance.Â
Advisory Group roles are voluntary.
We are looking for applications from:Â
- emerging career museum professionals with exhibition and events backgroundsÂ
- people who reflect the diversity of the UK population including people from the Global Majority, minoritised, disabled, D/deaf, neurodiverse, LGBTQ+ people, people with a working-class backgroundÂ

Advisory group purpose and responsibilities include:
- To support The Exhibitions Group team in the creation/suggestion of content and ideas for our marketing platforms, especially our newsletter, LinkedIn and Instagram
- To support The Exhibitions Group team in the planning, organisation and delivery of Exhibitions Connect
- To report on interesting developments in the sector, example exhibitions and case studies and provide any additional content e.g. images cleared for use across The Exhibitions Group platforms
- To suggest speakers and potential venues for Exhibitions Connect networking event; promote event to contacts and potential new members
- To provide perspective on proposals and organisation of Exhibitions Connect and The Exhibitions Group more broadly
- To share exhibitions and events or other relevant expertise
- To help promote The Exhibitions Group membership to personal/professional networks
- To attend quarterly meetings, plus provide ad hoc support outside of the meeting
- To attend board meetings on rotation with other Advisory Group members
