To mark the 40th anniversary of The Exhibitions Group, we’re holding a special sector thought leader webinar on Friday 28 February.

The in-conversation webinar will be chaired by Reyahn King, TEG Executive Director, who will be joined by independent curator, art historian and broadcaster, and former Exhibitions Group Chair (2000-03); Kathleen Soriano; Managing Director at Marshmallow Laser Feast, Nell Whitley; and Caroline Grewar, Director of Programme at V&A Dundee.

Kathleen Soriano is currently Chair of the Liverpool Biennial, and Chair of ArtUK, on the Advisory Council of 2 Temple Place, and a specialist advisor to the National Trust. With over 35 years’ experience in the art world she has been responsible for contemporary and historical exhibitions, collections and public programmes at the National Portrait Gallery, London and the Royal Academy of Arts, where she was Artistic Director (2009-14), as well as at Compton Verney Art Gallery, where she was previously Director.

Eleanor (Nell) Whitley has a reputation for driving forward ambitious work in a variety of forms – live events, art installations & digital media – her collaborations with Marshmallow Laser Feast (where she is partner and Executive Producer) demonstrate a unique vision for the future of creative experiences. She has produced the critically acclaimed In the Eyes of the Animal (Sundance New Frontier 2016, Wired Award for Innovation in Experience Design) and other mixed reality works including A Colossal Wave (SXSW 2018) Treehugger (Tribeca Film Festival Storyscapes Award 2017 & Best VR Film at Arles Festival) and We Live in an Ocean of Air which premiered at the Saatchi Gallery London (2018-9). Nell is also on the board of governors at the BFI.

Caroline Grewar is Director of Programme at V&A Dundee. In this role Caroline is responsible for the strategic leadership of the public programme, which builds upon the vision for V&A Dundee and fulfils the museum’s mission and objectives. Key to this ambition is the close working relationships between the Exhibitions and Learning teams, resulting in an integrated public programme which contributes to an inspiring future vision for the museum.

Caroline has worked in the culture sector for almost twenty years, beginning her career at the British Institute of Florence, Italy. In 2006 Caroline joined V&A South Kensington where she worked across capital projects, major exhibition delivery and international touring exhibitions. Before joining V&A Dundee, Caroline was Head of Exhibitions at the Design Museum where she worked with Zaha Hadid Architects, Barber Osgerby and Sir Paul Smith.
